- 11:24 Well, crap. Dahlia, as of now, is a breech baby. That means we're scheduling a C-Section. We can hope she drifts, but the chance is slim. #

So, I went to my 36 week appointment today and found out that my baby is in a breech position. She is not in distress or anything, but I will most likely have to have a c-section.
She has her head on my left side under my ribs, and one of her legs is fully extended across my belly. She is really wedged in there, and the likely hood that she will turn is pretty slim. Because I have an anterior placenta, and she is frimly positioned, they will not do the procedure where they press and push around on my belly to encourage her to move. They don't want to do anything that might do damage to the placenta. I'm sorry I already fogot what that procedure is called.
I will probably deliver the baby a week earlier than my due date. Somewhere around the 13th or so. They will call me today to schedule the surgery.
At least we have the technology and know how to deliver babies like mine safely.
I'm still disappointed that I won't have a natural birth. I was really wanting to do that. Oh well. I'll do whatever is best for baby.
So, there you have it. We'll keep hoping for Dahlia to move on her own, but it's not super likely.
